A LITTLE HISTORY ABOUT US
What started as an idea to create something different for Wadebridge has grown into one of North Cornwall’s most unique social spaces. Built from stacked shipping containers just moments from the Camel Trail, Saltbox was designed to bring people together through good food, drinks, music and atmosphere in a setting that feels relaxed from the moment you arrive. Over time, it’s evolved into far more than a place to grab a bite to eat, with independent food vendors, rooftop drinks, outdoor spaces and the addition of the Nordic spa helping shape Saltbox into the laid-back destination it is today.
From sunny afternoons with families and cyclists passing through, to evenings spent around the rooftop bar with cocktails, live music and street food, Saltbox has become a place people return to time and time again. The idea has always been simple — create somewhere informal, welcoming and full of atmosphere, where you can stay for one drink and end up spending the whole evening.
